Your Guide to Curvy Gal Swimwear

It’s here! Your Curvy Gal Swimwear Guide.

I tried to keep all comfortability levels in mind here as I put this guide together. I love color and this summer, I am pushing myself to extend my love of color into my swimwear picks! Of course, I did keep some classic styles and colors in mind!

Black and White Gingham

Hi friends!

It’s been a wild couple of weeks. I haven’t felt like I’ve been able to invest time into the blog like I would like to. And honestly, things seem to not be slowing down.

On that note, Summer is upon us and I’m all about the easy fabrics that are easy to throw on. Insert this linen gingham number. I also see me wearing this with a denim jacket.

One more day until the weekend y’all. I don’t like doing this, but I’m counting down. Your girl needs to relax, unwind, and recharge.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow. My curvy gal swimwear guide will be up!

Do Not Disturb

Friends. We need to talk about the most important thing that happens in bed…

Your sleep, duh!

Two summers ago, when I first moved to Houston, I ordered a mattress off of Amazon. Now, no offense to Amazon, but the mattress has been hell. Lumpy, sinking, and not the best quality. You can ask my friends and coworkers. I would start my day not standing up straight, aching, and uncomfortable. I was kind of at my wits end.

Enter Big Fig. I got this new mattress about two months ago. And y’all. The sleeping game has changed. You get the white glove service, which means my old bed was removed and the new mattress set up for me upon delivery. This bed was specifically made to cushion, comfort, and support more body weight. It is firm (it has 1600 individual coils – whoa)! It has given support a whole new meaning. There are four layers of foam that is built for comfort. I am sleeping so much better and it is because of this mattress, I know it. Yes, I’m working with Big Fig, but my opinions are my own, and I could not recommend this bed enough. If you’re experiencing any aches and pains like I was, I would definitely check them out.

Fiesta Like There Ain’t No Mañana

Friends! Hola!

Welcome back to That Blonde Rebel!

Last weekend I co-hosted a bridal shower that was Fiesta themed. Both myself and the bride grew up in San Antonio so this party was ON THEME!

If you’ve never been to the Fiesta Store on Main St. in San Antonio, GO! I got my dress, flower crowns, and decor there and it’s your one-stop shop! You can get amazing wreaths, flower crowns, and even earrings. I also ordered paper flowers, mini donkeys, and other decor from Amazon!

I got food from Whole Foods (cake, cupcakes, snackies, and queso) and the best mini tacos you’ve ever had from Trader Joe’s. They have both chicken and beef! I even picked up some cacti!

Scroll through for some major inspiration for your own Fiesta.

Adios, muchachas!

Botanics x Ulta Beauty

Happy Thursday, y’all!

How is it already March 7th? I can’t believe it. Yikes. Time honestly needs to slow down for me. Anyone else?

I recently partnered with Botanics and Ulta, to try some Botanics products. They sent me a face cleanser, face wipes, radiance serum, hydrating night cream, and micellar water. I am a HUGE fan of micellar water and it has seriously changed my skincare game. I have been using another brand for years, but have also enjoyed the Botanics this past week, as well. It’s not drying and does a great job removing makeup, even mascara. The Botanics bottle is under $7.

This company began in the UK and make only plant-based products. Those of you who are wanting to using clean products, you might want to stop by Ulta, pick some up, and give these a try! If you do, I’d love to hear how they are working for you!

Intention Check-in – February

Here we are. And yes. I know it’s already March. But I thought I’d circle back on those intentions started on January 1st and update y’all. on my progress (or lack thereof).

February was an absolute whirlwind and for the last week and a half of it, I was fitting an upper respiratory infection. When you’re sick, everything feels off, am I right? Your sleep schedule, your appetite, your day to day responsibilities. But I’m on the mend and determined to make March a great month! Before we dive into Spring though, let’s recap my intentions for February..

  1. Pitch myself with purpose – This is going really well! I’ve had the chance to partner up with some great brands this past month like HUM Nutrition, Eloquii, and Maree Pour Toi. I feel very lucky to produce content for y’all and share the things I’m trying out and loving. And that’s not to say there hasn’t been rejection. There has been PLENTY! However, I’m working hard and know that what’s meant for me will come my way. I’ve got more in the works for March and am excited to continue my partnership with Jessica London Style. If you’re a blogger wondering where to start in terms of building relationships with brands, I would definitely check out Emma’s Edition. She provides free step by step advice on how to build your platform. Check her out here!
  2. Save more, spend less – Y’all. THIS IS HAPPENING and I’m pretty proud of myself. I’m eating at home and cooking for one. Nothing fancy, believe me, but I’m doing it! I’ve also cut back on the spending on my wardrobe. I’ve found trendy pieces that are inexpensive on sites like Shein. And y’all know I love me some Old Navy! I’m also going to be transparent and say that the collaborations mentioned above have also helped cut down on my spending. Thinking ahead though, March is going to be an expensive month as I’m in search of two bridesmaid dresses for two weddings I’m in in June and hosting a bridal shower for one of my bride bffs. I’m cohosting this shower with two other gals and was thinking it would be fun to do a post on how to throw a shower on a budget!
  3. Be more focused on self-care – My anxiety was still on a rager through most of February, but I’ve been using meditation to help me get ready for bed and the essential oils I’ve been using have also helped quiet the mind when it seems like it just can’t catch a breath. What I’d like to do this month is incorporate some walking and exercise into my self-care. Whether it’s 20 minutes on a treadmill or a walk around the neighborhood, I have to stop being so stagnant and sedentary. Will report back on this at the end of March.
  4. Be open to possibilities – Absolutely NOTHING to report here and honestly, I should be focusing more on myself and getting into a good head space. I’ve got to get myself on the up and up before thinking about dating. Am putting this on the back burner and will revisit when I feel like I’m ready.

I hope if you read this, you’re also circling back on your intentions and figuring out what you need for this month to get or stay on track!
