Hello, October!

Hello, October!

Hey y’all and happy Tuesday (and even more importantly, happy October)!

Whether you live in the humid South, or chilly Northeast, October brings about the start of the holiday season. First Halloween, then Thanksgiving, after that comes Christmas (or Hanukkah) and then before you know it, we’ll be saying goodbye to 2018, and toasting to a new year, full of possibilities and the happy unknown. Ahhh, I love it!

With the start of this next season, I wanted to share my top three trends for Fall: lace (where mock necks are celebrated), animal print (rawr), and lastly, denim but with unique details!

Floral Frocks in Fall

Happy Thursday, friends!

It’s crazy that in a little over a year, I’ve adjusted to the heat and humidity that is Houston. 87 degrees feels so delightful (how just straight delusional does that sound?!)! I’m ready for the much needed reprieve of heat this Summer season has shown us, how about you?

I wanted to share two Fall floral frocks that are making me so excited that hopefully weather below 80 makes its debut soon! I’m thinking about pairing both of these dresses with boots and can’t wait to restyle!

Hope these looks inspire you to add some prints to your wardrobe this upcoming season.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Christmas is coming early, y’all! That is what the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is to me! I have been shopping the #Nsale since before I was blogging. Typically, I shop the sale with my mom in San Antonio, but now that I’m living in Houston, I’m thinking I’ll shop online with curbside pick-up!

The sale’s early access will begin July 12th for Nordstrom cardholders. Cardholders – exciting stuff – if you have a triple points day to use, YOU CAN! On the 20th, the sale will be open to the public.

What I love about the sale? That new pieces are at an all-time low for a limited time! Prices will go back up August 6th. That means that this is the optimal time to stock up on all the trends for Fall.

My plan on attack for this sale is pretty simple this year: Essentials. This means jeans, booties, bras. In previous years, I’ve gone absolutely BANANAS at this sale, and I am going to try to keep it to six things. Some of you messaged me on Insta saying I couldn’t and shouldn’t do that to myself, so we’ll see if I crack.

In the meantime, here’s a summer look and can you spot the change? That’s right, I did a major chop last week. I’m still adjusting to the fringe on my forehead and the new length, so give me some time to tame these divas (otherwise known as, bangs).

Can’t wait to share what I scoop from the sale and how I weave these new pieces into my everyday wardrobe!

Bag Lady

Hey y’all and thanks for stopping by!

Our feeds are so filled with designer bags these days that I thought I’d share my faves for every budget! Some of these bags (3/4) I most certainly didn’t pay full price for (SCORE)!

Under $1200

Gucci Disco Bag (shop here and here) – I LOVE this bag! It’s easy, casual, and perfect for a weekend grabbing some beers and crawfish. I got mine at Neiman Marcus on major sale (like under $600 major sale)! Neiman’s does a bag sale a few times a year and I just happened upon it.

$1200 – $1700

Saint Laurent Monogram Leather Clutch (shop here) – This bag was also on sale for a limited time when I scooped it up. I love the pebbled leather and the gold monogram. I always get a ton of compliments whenever I use it. I mostly use it for dressier occasions. If I’m not using it, I keep it in its duster bag to keep it in like new condition.

Saint Laurent Monogram Matelasse Leather Chain Wallet (shop here) – This bag took me a while to find. The washed light pink with gold hardware is a quick sell. The silver hardware is currently still in stock and I’ve linked it above. The chain is removable so it can be used as a clutch, as well. This pretty bag made my giddy with joy as I unboxed it!

$2000+

Gucci GG Marmont Small Pearly Shoulder Bag (shop here) – This has been my latest addition and priciest purchase to date. However, I did get it while it was 20% off for a limited time. I feel like the luckiest duck that I stumbled across this one in my local Neiman’s. This bag goes with absolutely everything, from ripped denim to lacy frocks. It has been a staple in my wardrobe.

I hope I’ve given you a little insight on how and where to spend your hard-earned pennies when you’re ready to take the plunge into designer bags. I’ve been working on this collection over the past several years and love each one individually for different reasons. You know when you get a dog and people say the pup picked you, not the other way around? I feel like it’s the same way for bags.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!

As always, thank you for reading!

Xoxo, Liza
