If I Could Turn Back Time…

Happy Humpday, beautifuls!

It is the first week of October and I am so UNBELIEVABLY ready for some cooler weather. How about you?

I decided to spruce up the front steps of the house with some instagrammable mums and I love how they turned out. Now to add a Fall wreath and some pumpkins!

On a different note, I am coming to y’all with some awesome news. My collaboration with Jord Watches went great this past Summer, so I am back with another opportunity for you to win $100 from them for your OWN wooden watch. Very simple and easy to win! Enter the contest here! What’s great about this giveaway is that even if you don’t win, you are guaranteed $25 just for entering.

Jord Watches has recently introduced engraving to their watches and their boxes. How cool is my blog name engraved on my wooden box?! I am OBSESSED. You can even have your watch engraved, too! This would make a gift even more personalized. Check out the engraving options here!

A Jord watch is an addition to my Fall wardrobe that I am super excited about! As I start to wear darker tones this season, this watch will be the perfect transitional timepiece to add to my wrist party. I love the ebony wood with the metal hardware. Talk about naturally chic (insert all the hearteye emojis).

BTW, the contest will close on October 22nd! Make sure you hurry up and enter (scroll up  for the contest link)!

To Fall, to pumpkin spice and everything nice, and to chic wood watches, cheers to a great season, y’all!

Wooden Wrist Watch

Berry Cool

There’s something about the end of September/beginning of October that holds so much excitement. For one, I don’t start sweating the minute I walk out of the house (which almost feels like a dang miracle). For another, I’m paler which means cooler colors give me a more dramatic look. Like this off the shoulder blouse in a rich berry color, for instance.

While it hasn’t completed cooled off down here in Southeastern Texas (aka humid Houston), I thought I’d share an outfit that could help you transition into one of my absolute favorite seasons!

Black and White Check = Major Delight

Hello, beautiful people!

I am so sorry I have been MIA on the TBR lately! It’s been a whirlwind. Besides the craziness of Hurricane Harvey, I also started a new job and have been adjusting to that corporate life.

Sooooo thank you for your patience and without further ado… Here’s a denim and gingham look that will easily transition to fall. Switch the flats to boots and add different earrings and a darker lip!

Bonus: This top is on sale for less than $30!

Lady in Red (insert red dress emoji girl)

I am feeling gone with the wind fabulous, honey!

This amazing red dress really does it for me y’all! It’s swooshy, pleated, has amazing details, and pops against this pale skin and blonde hair. I also KNOW, with zero hesitation, that it would look good on ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE, every shade and shape would benefit from a dress like this.

My gal pal/photographer extraordinaire, Caroline Behrens, told me to let loose and and I think it’s fair to say, based on these silly and happy expressions I’m sporting, that I did. Walking around, I received lots of heart eyes and I know it was only for my dress!

You can get your own poppy and pleated dress for yourself! I’ve linked it below!

This dress just screams CONFIDENT to me and, today, I need that extra pep in my step as I start a new job in Corporate America. I am so excited and obvs nervous, so send me some good vibes while I try to channel the going-for-it girl in these photos 😉

Love y’all, mean it, Liza

The Iconic Wrap Dress

The Iconic Wrap Dress

There are several pieces of clothing that can stand the test of time and are always a DO.

The Wrap Dress is one of those items.

I recently collaborated with Leota New York, an American clothing company that prides itself on three things: 1. They are body inclusive, making the same item in the same print for ALL sizes (insert clap emoji) 2. They are made in the USA, baby! and 3. These breathable fabrics come in great prints!

Scroll down to read about what accessories you can add to make the wrap dress night-out ready!

Typically, the wrap dress is perfect work attire. But what if you can’t stop by at home and change before meeting your girls for a desperately needed glass of bubbly?

I added studded heels in a cognac color, gold accessories, and a statement earring. I also opted for a clutch instead of the usual work tote. Pop on a bright lip and you are good to go!

Happy Thursday, y’all!

Vibrant Pink Top and a Red Lip

I have to be honest about something.

In the past, I never really liked mixing primary colors with pastels.

HOWEVER, I have matured and grown to LOVE mixing different color palettes.

This pink top is AMAZING and just makes me happy. I may or may not have also gotten it in a blue gingham.
