The Perfect Valentine’s Breakfast at Home

I am so excited to share this cute V-Day breakfast set-up with y’all! It is exactly as I pictured it in my head and I think it turned out perfectly!

Turning these waffles into hearts was so simple! I toasted some eggo waffles and after they got toasted, I used a heart shaped cookie cutter to make the shape! I added some whipped cream and strawberries! And then stacked the cake stand with mini donuts and cupcakes. I think this would be the perfect little breakfast for your littles, your SO, your galentines, or YOU!

Scroll through for some Valentine’s inspo! Everything will be linked on the bottom of the post!

Liza’s Dirty Shirley Cocktail

Y’all. If you’re looking for an easy holiday cocktail, look no farther!

Here’s what you’re going to need:

Holiday Glasses, Champagne (I love La Marca Prosecco), 7up, Maraschino Cherries

It’s as simple as this: Put some crushed ice in your glass. Pour in the champagne. Add in half a mini can of 7up. Then add some cherry juice and a few cherries. Stir all together and ENJOY!

I also think this would be delicious as a slushie, too!

Barefoot Contessa’s Crab Mac n Cheese

Hey friends!

Happy Labor Day! I’ve been at my parents’ house all weekend and on Saturday, we had a delicious dinner of crab legs and steak. We ended up with leftover crab and decided to put it to good use and try out some crab mac and cheese.

I’m putting the recipe below if you want to try it out for yourself!

Ingredients:

  • Kosher salt
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 pound cavatappi or elbow macaroni
  • 1 quart milk
  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, divided
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 12 ounces Gruyere cheese, grated (4 cups)
  • 8 ounces extra-sharp Cheddar, grated (2 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 pounds cooked lobster or crab meat
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh white bread crumbs (5 slices, crusts removed)

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Drizzle oil into a large pot of boiling salted water. Add the pasta and cook according to the directions on the package, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain well.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the milk in a small saucepan, but don’t boil it. In a large pot, melt 6 tablespoons of butter and add the flour. Cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring with a whisk. Still whisking, add the hot milk and cook for a minute or two more, until thickened and smooth. Off the heat, add the Gruyere, Cheddar, 1 tablespoon salt, the pepper, and nutmeg. Add the cooked macaroni and lobster or crab and stir well. Place the mixture in 6 to 8 individual gratin dishes.
  4. Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, combine them with the fresh bread crumbs, and sprinkle on the top. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the macaroni is browned on the top.

BUB (38 of 307)BUB (72 of 307)

Hey y’allย and happy Thursday!

I am so close to my Christmas vacation, I can taste it! The Christmas morning bubbly, that is!

Speaking of bubbly, I recently partnered with Corks and Cheers to create a fun, festive holiday drink. This drink is a spritz of sorts and DANG WAS IT GOOD! Check out more from this brand HERE!

First, your ingredients. This is super simple: ice, prosecco (I used Ogio brand and it was delish), 7up (lemon-lime flavor), and maraschino cherries!

Drop some ice in your glasses, pop your prosecco bottle open and pour into the glass. Add in some lemon-lime 7up as your mixer. Now, here comes the fun part! Put a little cherry juice in your drinks and garnish with a couple cherries. Instant color and some more flavor. Stir, sip, and enjoy! Add a charcuterie plate to really go the extra mile for your friends and family!

Let’s Wine About It!

Let’s Wine About It!

Happy Thursday, friends, and welcome back to That Blonde Rebel!

I am so excited to share a fun collaboration I did with one of my Houston gal pals, Taylor! ย Taylor and I both work together, wine together, and are known to karaoke together from to time – I am so glad I found a soul sister who thrives on living her best life as much as I do! Taylor has a side hustle as a wine consultant for Scout and Cellar Wines. Have y’all heard about this cool company?

Scout and Cellar curates a variety of clean-crafted wine from all over the world. So you might be thinking, what does clean-crafted wine even mean??

Clean-crafted wine means that the grapes must be grown naturally with no synthetic pesticides, there are zero grams of added sugar, zero chemicals, and it’s low in sulfites (hello, no hangover/guilt-free vino)! I have had several different wines from Scout and Cellar and they are all absolutely delicious and I am pain free the next morning. Getting smart with our wine drinking might truly be the definition of “adulting”. For more on this liquid gold, follow my girl Taylor on Instagram @wineandtaylored

As for me, I’ll just be over here wearing sweaters (that I’m too warm in) and sipping on this special sauce!
