7/11 Gift Exchange Game

Well, it’s two sleeps until Christmas and it seems like everyone is in a panic to get their shopping done. Traffic is insane, people are cutthroat in lines, and I think we’ve forgotten the cheer we feel around Christmas.

I got together last night with my San Antonio Besties for our 3rd Holiday 7/11 Night. What I wore and how to play are below:

If you are getting together with a group and have no idea what to do (gal pals, family, coworkers, etc.), I’ve got the game for you! My family has been playing this game with guests all the time and it’s even made it’s way to my friends and coworkers. Here’s how 7/11 works.

Set a spending limit. This could be $20, $25, or $50, whatever you want. Each guest buys a gift/gifts and wraps them. You’ll need 1-2 sets of dice. One set works for about 5 people, so plan accordingly. Round one goes like this: Put the wrapped gifts in the middle of the group. Each person will roll the dice. If they get a 7 or an 11, they get to pick a gift. Once all the gifts are taken, each person will unwrap what they have. Now the fun part. Round 2: Set the timer for 10 minutes and start rolling. If someone lands on a 7 or 11, they get to steal a gift. Whenever the timer goes off, what you are left with, are your presents to keep. It’s hilarious! We’ve played this at Christmas, baby, and wedding showers. It’s so fun! Lotto tickets are always popular! Here are some gift ideas for one with your girlfriends!
